We are constantly being given new information in the media about what foods we should eat and avoid to prevent cancer. Fox news gone on a grocery trip to give a clear overview of exactly what we should eat for optimum health, a project that is part of their partnership with the Little Red Door Cancer Agency.
Registered dietitian and Kroger consultant Kim Galeaz simplifies things by saying the foods that prevent cancer are the same as the foods we are commonly advised to eat for our general health. These are fruit, vegetables, lean meats, and low or fat free dairy products.
“You don’t want too much sodium. You don’t want too much sugar. You don’t want too much alcohol. You really need to focus first on all these nutrient rich foods, then add all of these in,” Galeaz said.
